You already know that you will need a Home Information Pack (HIP) when you come to sell your home. But you might not know the advantages of buying your HIP independently: If you allow your estate agent to order your HIP on your behalf, you could end up at a disadvantage. Beware of any estate agent who offers the HIP as a free part of their service - the price is always generously allowed for in the commission and if you need to change estate agent at a later stage you may well find that the HIP is still owned by the original agent and is not yours to take with you. Those agents who sell the HIP usually charge upwards of £300 (compared to our £215) and will often provide a pack “branded” with the agent’s logo, again useless if you want to change agent later. Having your own HIP puts you in a much stronger bargaining position with the estate agents and it saves you money! Look at what we offer:
